Leadership

We recognise that productivity growth is the fundamental driving force for our society, industry and for individual organisations. For decades, we have studied the underlying reasons which determine an organisation’s rate of productivity growth and we are recognised as industry leaders in this field.

Andy Redfern

Leader in operations and project management

I started my career as an engineer for Nuclear Electric and in 2001 co-founded a global operations consultancy.  In the two years prior to founding Chartwell, I was the CEO of Lightning Aerospace and led the company turnaround.  Overall, I have over 25 years’ experience as a consultant to top multi-national businesses.

For me, one of the things I enjoy most about a project is the first few days with a new client. The intensity of study and understanding hidden potential is exhilarating for me and always enlightening for the client.

Jake Nelson

Leader in rapid improvement delivery

My career comprises over 20 years’ experience within the manufacturing, industrial and service sectors, where I have lead over 50 improvement programs.  My expertise is in delivering high impact projects within high value industries, particularly those dealing with advanced technologies.

For me, the best part of the job is helping client teams to deliver great results that they never thought would be possible – getting people excited about making the graph go up!

Mike George

Head of our US operations

I have spent more than 20 years working with manufacturing companies ranging in size from $500MM to $15B to help them save tens of millions and drive capital-free, capacity expansion to meet growing demand.  My industry experience includes food & beverage, paper & packaging and healthcare.

I truly enjoy helping clients push past the boundaries of what they believe is possible to achieve. Every project starts with assumptions around performance limitations – I help strip away those assumptions to create new “normal” levels of performance and individual capability.

Miriam Hall

Leader in Rapid Profit Improvement

Chartwell’s first internally promoted Partner, I have extensive experience leading step-change operational improvements in the chemicals, pharmaceutical and food and beverage sectors. I help leaders to realise the full potential of their teams and assets with a transformational effect on their business’s EBITDA.

I love helping teams to overcome persistent problems- technical or organisational - that people had often given up on solving. I get a real buzz from seeing how effective a team can become once they start believing in step-change improvement.

Hannah Standing

Finance Director

I joined Chartwell in its first year as the finance team. As we have grown and opened new offices I have built up the Back Office team with responsibility for Finance, HR and payroll, IT systems, legal and risk.

Jonathan Willis

Leader in Systems and Organisational Change

I joined Chartwell in 2013 and have led over 50 improvement projects in the UK, Europe and the USA. I help companies develop process and engineering improvements, and to spread these across multinational site networks to maximise their benefits. My industry experience includes pharmaceuticals, chemicals and industrial products.

I believe that everyone wants to do a good job, but many people can feel frustrated by existing systems and processes. I love challenging and changing these systems to help people do the right thing more easily, and to build their capacity to identify and execute future changes for themselves.
